Ghillie Loch ( loch nan Gillean )
The Ghillie Loch, pictured below, is a nice wee loch to fish and holds some good quality fish which often reach a good size.
The loch is reasonably small but quite deep in the centre and as well as brown trout, this loch also holds some arctic charr, making it even more worth the short 5 min' walk. This picture is looking west onto the loch, back toward the road where you can park in a small gravel car park at the side of the road. From the car park walk at a right angle away from the road until you go over the first small rise and you will be at the loch. The car park is about 1 mile short of Kinnabus.
School Loch ( loch ard Achadh )
The School Loch is another little cracker which holds lots of typically strong fighting brown trout. Probably not reaching the size of the larger fish in the neighbouring Ghillie Loch but good all the same. The School Loch is much bigger than the Ghillie loch and has some lovely scenery as well as just being 5 minutes away from Loch Kinnabus by way of a walk south west from the loch. To get to this loch, just follow the fence that runs south east from the ghillie loch past the ruin on the top of the hill and you will be on the loch in no more than 5 minutes.
